There is a box inside my house where two rings sit. My engagement ring and my wedding ring. It’s been months – years – since I saw them. I don’t wear them, I can’t now can I, being divorced? But let me tell you, they are beautiful and I miss not looking at them, not wearing them every day as I had intended...

Hold that thought, now I’m going to share a passage of writing with you, it’s an excerpt from something I wrote in my diary a few years ago, it is something deeply personal, and something I weaved into a memoir I was attempting to write, but it tells you something about writing trauma, and so here we go:
