...the best writing advice Anna Wharton gave to me
This post is free for a limited time but please consider supporting good writing. Members have full access to my archive where you will find a whole other list of bestselling authors who have shared their best writing advice, and of course you get to join my monthly online creative writing club.
Yes, it’s me, wrapping things up for our final day of the Twelve Days of Christmas Writing Advice.
Over the last eleven days you have heard some brilliant advice from some amazing authors who crafted their essays exclusively for you.
A huge thank you to them from me, I know that I will be returning to many of their essays over and over in my own work.
But also a huge thank you to you for taking the time to read these posts each day, and an especially big thank you to those who have converted from free subscribers to White Ink members throughout this series, it is this gesture which allows me to keep working on my substack and bringing you these valuable series.
So, let’s get on with Day Twelve, first a reminder to some of our new subscribers to White Ink – “welcome!” – of who I am. I am a journalist and a novelist, and my novel The Imposter was published in 2020 by Pan Macmillan.
But I am best known as a ghostwriter of memoir and creative non-fiction, and so I have squeezed myself in here among the line up of other non-fiction writers who have shared their wisdom with you this week.
Here are some of the books I have written, among them are Sunday Times Bestsellers, a Radio Four Book of the Week, A Spectator Book of the Year, A Richard and Judy Book Club pick, and one Orwell Prize longlister. (And a partridge in a pear tree…just to stick to the theme)
And so, what do I have to tell you on Day Twelve? Let’s take a look…
