Eleven years ago I attended a six-month novel writing course run by The Faber Academy. It is pitched as similar to an MA in Creative Writing, I later went on to do an MA in Creative Writing and I can tell you there is a world of difference, but anyway, that’s not what I wanted to talk about today. In that class it was mostly all women except for two or three men, but it was the first time I noticed the difference between how men and women write, and the main difference was this:
