I can vouch for what a good session that turned out to be :) I can’t make it tomorrow but would be very interested in Substack sharing/feedback workshops
Oh thanks Sasha, it was a great session, wasn’t it? It’s a shame you can’t make it tomorrow but thank for you registering your interesting in sharing/feedback workshops, I’ll have a think about how these might work.
I've switched agents several times. It's not easy but the agent-client relationship is like a marriage, if you don't click you don't click. People change over time and sometimes things just sputter out. Best to find one that is a better fit.
I have just switched agents and received my new contract on Thursday. It was a tough decision but the best one, and I, too, am excited and hopeful for the new year. I will try to make it tomorrow evening - seeing you and everyone else online would be lovely. My first one, too! 💛
I am in the process of switching agents/looking for a new one myself, and I know it’s the right thing yet it can also feel exhausting. It’s encouraging to hear someone talk about their experience as I think so often as writers we hear that getting an agent - any agent - is the ultimate goal and we must be grateful, rather than that it should be an equal partnership of likeminded professionals. I will really try to get to tomorrow’s session - I’m not normally home from work in time so I’ve not been able to join yet! Fingers crossed 🤞
I will light a candle tomorrow night, join the session and hope to sweep some of the self-doubt clogging up my wordy gutters. I’m ’supposed’ to have a proposal to submit Dec 10. It’s a first for me. I’m in no way seasoned at any of this. And stuck. I’ll work on my question and come back to this space later in the day.

It’s really hard to be so honest and vulnerable about the ups and downs of this life but it’s brave and worthwhile. Thanks for the comfort x
Anna where do I find the link and what time is it? I’m in Sydney Australia and I think it will be tomorrow Tuesday morning for me.
Sorry Viviane, it’s 7pm GMT Dec 2. I so hope you can make it, would be lovely to see you.
